childhood sickness trvia

give up
i give in to my sickness cravings for comfort foods from my chldhood
just increased my fever (102 to 103 now) by running to the corner store and bought SPaGHETTIOS. with meatballs no less. i couldnt bring myself to buy the salting that went with them, but dammit, i love spaghettios when i am sick
what are your illness cravings? those childhood foods that make you feel taken care of?

i can of course add to this that i was sick enough as a kid that i love the taste of all syrup related medicines, including peptol bismol. yes i know. but as for non medicinals

i got:
spaghettios with buttered saltines
lemon lime new york seltzer (which they don't make anymore :(
mcdonalds hamburger with xtra onions
pop tarts with the rainbow frosting and sprinkles
hic fruit punch

i try very hard to do all the teas and the herbas and all that, but most of all, i want a soup with lotsandlots of noodles in it.chunky chicken noodle.or matzo.matzo balls are a favorite.and always goldfish crackers.cheddar.and animal crackers.sometimes, it's grilled cheese or toast and tomato soup with goldfish crackers.i also remember alphabet soup.
there are shows on teevee that remind me of being sick when i was a kid because that's the only time i would see them~the price is right, any soap opera, and even oprah.

I used to hate orange juice and I used to drink it when I was sick because it's good for you and my wise friend Kermit said "when you are sick, eat what makes you happy!" and I have always listened to him since, plus I like orange juice now.

Hope you feel better soon! =) Before you get to the eating McDonald's stage!
