(no subject)

i SUPPOSE i should get dressed and head to the cafe
i feel so lazy in my house alone though
and yes there is a lot to do
blah blah blah
but that said, today is poetry day
reading
writng
looking for places to submit
etc.

just bought one of zorns filmworks and two poetry mags yesterday
if only i had my walkman, me and jazz and the park and words would be all over it

but none of this can happen
if i don't put on pants and leave the house
because while i like my dorky fluffy bathrobe
its not really appropo for haight street
even if... some might say, it is EXACTLY the right thing to wear on haight st.
heh
not if you live here. that shit only worked for tourists.

so... yes, two cups of coffee in, i finally ate bfast, and now, instead of housework, instead of IM, instead of workout (which is for later) i WILL PUT ON CLOTHES.

can you tell this is hard for me? :)
first time with the house to myself in months.
but i saw these walls for too long this weekend. the leaves need air.

Hell, I'm probably going to fire it up sometime today, meself.

The Painkiller live set (from Zorn's 50th birthday celebration) is playing at my desk now - for a guy who's recently kinda sworn off alto playing, his sax work on it (and on the FilmWorks volume) remains pretty assured.

Even back in the day (1989), when I lived at Stanyan and Frederick, bathrobes wouldn't cut it.

Good call. ;-)

In a perfect world, one could make this purchase at any corner store.

omigod - now wouldn't THAT be amazing

i should call myself lucky that i have booksmith and amoeba within a 6 block walk

but man! whuzzup with booksmith never carrying soft skull books? i tend to hold off and buy poetry in the mission for this very reason
