Do you have a copy of Meliza's "Live in Atlanta?" If not, I can make you one.

ONE! YOU LOCK THE TARGET
TWO! YOU BAIT THE LINES
THREE! YOU SLOWLY SPREAD THE NET
and FOUR! YOU CATCH THE MAN!

Is the Talking Heads track "This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)"?

And yes, you gotta love Amy Tan:

yes that is exactly the talking heads song!

speaking of music

The fresh volume of John Zorn's FILMWORKS (vol XVII - Notes on Marie Menken + Ray Bandar: A Life with Skulls) has two scores on it, both of which are pretty wonderful. MENKEN's got a great guitar-bass-drums trio augmented by Zorn on tenor sax, piano, and camera; BANDAR's got Zorn, Baptista and Kenny Wollesen going nuts on percussion instruments. I'd stopped habitually picking up every Zorn album (there're too damn many, for onething), but I'm grooving on a lot of the new FILMWORKS stuff. If you're curious about what he's been up to lately, this is a good disc to hear.

Meet Me At 3 - Emchy

[identity profile] cindymonkey.livejournal.com 2006-02-19 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
btw - i have a copy of happy accidents, but it's skipping :( so a copy would be grand... do you still have that one radio show too??? if the discs are too $$ i can give you some blank cd's

btw #2
we should make time for coffee soon... at least

Blank cds are hella cheap, so I'll try to get copies of both things made by the end of the week.

And, yes, it would be nice to actually talk in person sometime soon.
