i've never been to atlanta before. so... what should i not miss? neighborhoods i should see? what say you my world traveller peoples?

Ohboo, I was really looking forward to meeting rooster, too.

(I guess this just means I will have to come out there).

Here's where I'm going to direct you:
The MLK Center
Oakhurst Cemetary (great view of the city-skyline), which is right next to Six Feet Under & Ria's Bluebird Cafe (great eats)
Little Five Points (coffee, hipsterwear, indie books & food, parks)
East Atlanta (same as above, but smaller scale)
Candler Park and around (Donna Van Gogh art boutique, Gato Bisco, Flying Biscuit)
Decatur, the square & around.

Get ready to eat fantastic breakfast food & Get the Southern on.
bring sunscreen and very light clothes.
This town has big parks in every neighborhood.

I second the Flying Biscuit. I am really happy to hear it is still there. I ate there when I went to ATL in 2000. It is DELICIOUS!

But The EARL, Marys, Flat-Iron and 13 Roses Tattoo keep holding it down.
