(no subject)

i just had a strung out early twenty something kid in the elevator tell me that he thought i looked like someone's grandma

see he was surprised since my hair was colorful, and then he looked at me and said - hey you're kind of old aren't you? and then the grandma comment

i usually dont have age issues but COME ON

this is rivaled only by the time when i was 22 buying groceries in berkeley and the cashier mistook my husband (who was older than me) for my teenage son

good thing i am not sensitive eh?

unless everyone has kids at 13 or 14, then there would be lots of thirty year old grandmas... right?

Seriously. My mother was 18 when I was born and her mother was.. 16, I think when she had her, so I guess she was in her mid-30s when she became a grandmother for the first time, but she still didn't LOOK like a grandmother if that makes sense.
